More stand alone modules, please.

Well, not just modules but full AP style books, but individually self contained. Themed, perhaps. So you might have an adventure titled "Ruins of the Giant Kings" with an article on long lost giant lore, a bestiary of new and interesting giant types, perhaps some giant magic and a pathfinder tale based on giants.

Basically, I really like the AP format and Paizo's work, but I don't have much use for an actual AP.

Well even if they were full adventures with suggested tie-ins to mainline APs. Like GW's old warhammer fantasy rpg adventures ('Enemy Within' campaign in particular). If only to help mitigate the railroady thing (or extend out a sandbox series like Kingmaker).

Look to 3pps. I'm one, though I am building settings with adventures set in them, any of my adventures would work as a stand-alone, in fact they are built so you don't have to use the next adventure in the story - I offer alternate endings to my adventures to accomodate that. I am not alone.

To be honest I think the individual AP parts are usually quite compact in their own adventures. Sure there is plenty of tie ins available to previous and next part of the AP but there is also plenty of adventure material, mini-plots, and monsters in the between.

I've seen pieces from rise of the runelords used (all the giant encounters later in the AP), Sandpoint (the village in RotRL) was snagged as a starting point for another game, and the sewers/safehouse/rebel group from the beginning of the Council of Thieves was used in another.

If you happen to have a couple of the APs but don't really plan on running one all the way through, start mining them for adventure material I say. Usually there are even articles that are relevant to that part of the AP too.

There are a ton of 32 page paizo modules out there - combine them with one of the region books and you should be set. For example, there is a series of linked Osirion modules and an Osirion region book. Likewise with darkmoon vale. Absolom region book and the hangmans noose and the adventure with the magic paintings etc... Many of the society scenarios are linked as well.

Well they already are sort of doing them - the modules come with a few new monsters and items, and a little background on the area they are set in. They just weigh in at 1/3 the page count.

I know. I have a couple of them. I just think a big fat AP entry style treatment would be more awesome is all.
