More template madness from WotC

WotC's latest Elite Opponents article harkins back to last April's, where they made monster combos that were technically impossible, due to type restrictions.

This isn't quite in the same vein. Rather, in this article the author applies one template to a creature (a manticore every time) purely to change its creature type, so he can then apply a second template legally. He gets some very bizarre combinations from this!

I can't wait for the next April installment of this column. :)

Pfft. My Multiheaded Tauric Medusa/Manticore could take all those. [Was legal by SS, I believe, which included Monstrous Humanoids in possible 'header' types, but not by MMII which removed them from the list].

Hrm. Never got a chance to use her though... My players swear that if I ever put them up against her, TPK.
