If you do like it I just thought i would let you know that scott and i have just opened up a forum for it.. So please come and check it out. Just click the link in my signature to check it out.
I like it but think that it faces some fierce competition from other similar settings like Dawnforge (which is much larger, slight price hike and has color pages) and Ebonron (which will probably be all full color.)
I think the next few sourcebooks will help determine how the setting goes. I think one thing Dawnforge did better is made the characters more epic as opposed to just being in an epic like setting. The canticle is an interesting tool thought that any GM should be able to pull near countless encounters from.
Yea.. I play it with scott, and I enjoy it a lot, it has a lot of cool concepts. Although i think a lot of the world needs a bit more explanation in the book, Being that i play with the designer i can ask the questions. Which is awsome, but look at it this way... There can be source Books for it.. which are always fun, Maybe with some finesse and compliments we can get scott to write some more, elaborate on things..
Oh, and i think he plans to write more and post it on our site, but not sure... I do know he is very active on the forums so if you want to have questions answered post one up, i know you will get an answer.
I like the morningstar a lot. It's the best simple weapon there is! 1d8 damage like a longsword, plus it's bludgeoning _and_ piercing so you get past two types of DR. Indeed, I heartily recommend this weapon.
