Morrus - Review Incentive?

The Sigil

Mr. 3000 (Words per post)
Morrus:

I would like to inquire about the following...

Would it be possible to for me to do a "review incentive" program here at ENWorld? Possibly as a promotion for the month of April (or whenever)?

I would want to work on the details, but here are my initial thoughts (non-binding, of course, LOL):

1.) Any non-staff reviewer who writes at least 4 reviews in the month of April gets a free copy of the Enchiridion of Mystic Music.

2.) Any non-staff reviewer who writes at least 8 reviews in the month of April may choose instead to get a free copy of the Enchiridion of Treasures and Objects d'Art (one or the other, not both).

3.) Any non-staff reviewer who writes at least 12 reviews in the month of April gets both free.

I wonder if other e-publishers might support a similar program - i.e., do X reviews, get your choice of one of the following products: Y, Z, A, B, C.

Just a thought... we need more reviews around here and doing some publicity similar to that done for GM's day might be nice. :)

On further reflection, July might be a better month than April - gives plenty of lead time and catches all the students here "out of school."

There's a good idea in there (promoting the reviews) and a bad idea (basing it on the number of reviews.... hey dude, I just write four 1 line reviews on products I don't even own and I get a free pdf, wow!)

Or am I being to sceptical :D

I am a born cynic, but I agree with you 100%.

Well the Review folks weed out reviews that don't meet the standard. I welcome the move.

If the reviews folks are willing to take up all that extra work, then I will welcome the move too...
