Man, Vraille, you guys are nasty! ;) That could go into the annals along with the gazebo and zephyr stories. I don't have any good stories about my character's mount, but some of my fellow players had interesting mount stories. My fiancee was playing an Amazon sorceress in AD&D, and she'd left her village to seek both a mate and a good horse. The party ended up in an inn that was attacked by a red dragon and a bunch of the other patrons were killed, so when we couldn't find anyone to turn their horses over to we took some of the animals ourselves. The Amazon took a horse that had an "attitude". The GM always described this horse very colorfully, as being very smart and often showing disgust with the behavior of the party members. Eventually the party entered a wild magic area that had created some water that was enchanted so it gave animals the ability to speak. We kept some of it, but forgot about it most of the time. Just as the party was going to face off the BBE, my fiancee remembered that water and decided his Amazon gave some to her horse to ask whether the horse wanted to be left behind or not. The whole party got an earful while on their way up to the final confrontation. That horse had been holding in a lot of opinions! :D In another campaign, we have a gnome druid who's gone into the bird lord prestige class. He was obsessed with finding an axebeak and would ask at every opportunity if anyone had seen one or had one for sale. When he finally got his hands on an axebeak he was in heaven. Now he rides that thing out ahead of the party all the time, riding in circles around the rest of the group because they don't have mounts and an axebeak has a phenomenal movement rate. He even insists on taking the axebeak with us wherever we go; the rest of the party have to talk him out of taking it into palaces and such. :)
