Move silently and other forms or movement

How you deal with :

Move Silently + Fly
... + Swim
... + Burrow
... + Climb

Move Silently check opposed by a Listen check.

Even if flight is granted by the Fly spell ? I would go that way too... but I feel there would be opposition.

Well, Flying with the Fly spell has to involve some physical movement - consider that (assuming a decent Str score) carrying a suit of scale mail won't slow your Fly speed, but wearing a suit a scale mail will. The restrictiveness of the armour, not its weight, slows you down... so it must be restricting some sort of motion you make in order to travel with a Fly spell.

Whatever that motion is, it apparently makes some noise

Movement noise is not all about planting feet (or equivelents) on a creaking floorboard.

It inlcudes:
items bumping into each other and the wearer
clothes going russle
body parts rubbing against each other

strange posibilites include
the change in wind noise because an object interceeds
insect noise changing when they hit something.


and so on.
