Moving to Colorado Springs in the Dec '09/Jan '10 time frame. Looking to join either a 2nd Ed AD&D group or a d6 Star Wars group. I don't have any interest in 3rd edition or later AD&D, or D20 Star Wars despite "how much better it is" or "how much easier it is to use". If I have to do so, I'll get a game together myself and do the DM/GMing, but joining a group that exists seems like it would be a lot easier. Things I look for in a group. No smoking, or at least smoke outside. I'm an ex-smoker and now pretty much am militantly anti-smoker. I was in a group once where a 450# old white guy and a 110# skinny black 18 year old played characters that were in love. That creeped me out. I don't want to do that again. I prefer my group be non-militant about the RP. I'm not speaking elven. I prefer a mixed group, male and female, but can live with an all male group. My first choice was an all female group, but my wife changed my mind. It still hurts where she changed it. I like a group where everyone either brings their own food/drink, or everyone chips in equally. I tend to jump on the freeloaders. Unless I think they're cool despite their dirt poor state, then I feed them. If they have money and are freeloading, I siphon gas out of their car when they're not looking. "Oh, I was just in the bathroom! I had gas real bad." I like a smart group. Up on current events, likes to discuss the world, share some witty jokes (even the off color ones) and generally make sense when they talk. I don't really care what your philosophy on any particular thing is, as long as you don't push it on me or disrespect my opinions. I'm a conservative, agnostic, politically incorrect, anti-global warming religion, pro-2nd amendment whacko. You can be a tree hugging hippy, I respect that. In fact, if you come over to my place you'll find some trees that haven't been hugged lately. Ok, that's quite the looking for group post, but I'm quite picky. I'd rather not play at all than play with retards or jackasses, quite honestly. (that's the politically incorrect part) Been nice chatting at you, I eagerly await the PMs that say "Yeah, join our group!" or "Hey, you're an ass!"
