It's been quite some time since I've been even remotely interested in a DDI article. I think the last one that excited me at all was the warlock pact article.
But this epic destiny is something I can really get behind as a player and a DM. This is co-operative gaming taken a step further into the mechanics of the system. But better, it does it without strict rules for adjudicating the results.
It's enough to say, "Hey, the character is a king or emperor and has all that good stuff, but he's still needed to go out and kill the dragon to save his people," instead of saying, "He has 5 level 10 loyal servents, 10 level 5..." etc.
