My take on the Multiclass Rules, it's just a minor alteration of the existing rules that gives a bit more Power to Characters that choose the Multiclass Paragon instead of a normal Paragon Path. It will be possible to play quite more of our so loved old multiclass character concepts then the core version allows. However i tried to remove broken combinations like the rogue who sneaks and gets the hunters quarry damage (so with the 2 feats it's 8d8 extra damage) or the uber-healer (healing word 3 times per encounter and Inspiring Word 3 times per encounter).
Multiclass Paragon Prequsite: Any class-specific multiclass feat, Novice Power, Acolyte Power, Adept Power Mulitclass Mastery I (11th level): You can choose to replace on of your at will powers with an at-will power of your second class. Multiclass Mastery II (16th level): You can choose to replace one of your class features with a class feature of your second class, you can not gain a second role specific class feature (sneak attack, healing word, divine challange) if you already have one of that role, so you can't gain sneak attack while having hunter's quarry that way. If you choose to gain full acces to the class feature gained by the class specific multiclass feat that way, you loose that specific feat benefit, you can retrain that feat to another specific mulitclass feat of your chosen class if avaleble. Multiclass Powers Encounter Attack 11: Choose any encounter attack power of 7th level or lower from your second class. Utility 12: Choose any utility power of 10th level or lower from your second class. Daily Attack 20: Choose any daily attack power of 19th level or lower from your second class.
An alternate version for this is giving the character a Bonus Feat at 16th level instead of the Multiclass Mastery II, that way the gap between versality of a Multiclass Paragon Character and the Power of a normal Paragon Path Character should be eliminated. You could also make the swap of a Class Feature a Paragon or Epic feat if you use the Bonus Feat method. Hope you like this version and tell me if there is anything i could improve.
