Multiheaded Half-Ogre

After looking through Savage Spcies at the multiheaded template I have a quick question.

When applying the template to a large creautre with no racial Hit Dice (ie Half Ogre) what happens to the the number of Hit Dice it gains.

The template states that that a large creature can have 3 extra heads and each extra head adds 2 Hit Dice.

Would he add generic 'Giant' Hit Dice?

Hmm, I guess so. (Giant is the half-giant's type, correct?)

I believe that giants default is d12 - dont forget to add that increased con bounus as well
