An artifact per se, it has a legendary name, and is the only weapon in the entire world capable of defeating the nig bad guy (if I remmember the old movie proprerly). Now what I do agree with you is that, regarding the game balance issue, the thrown weapon guy should not be penalized. Maybe there are options, like treating those weapons as ammunition?
