Ahhh, the EVIL! Quick! Kill it before it spreads!

Seriously, I'd give this book a look-over, if for nothing but a few laughs. I wouldn't buy it; what would be the point? It's not like I would need it to refer to or anything; just a look in the game store would be enough for me. Or I would buy it so I could kill it. Before it spread.

well, I will definitely buy it (and at this price a lot of my players will too) - just for the fun of it...and maybe for some truly wacked out ideas for my NPCs... :D

I was a little worried, if not a little curious when I first read this, but since its Steve Jackson Games.. I'm takeing it as the tongue in cheeks product that he he likely to put out, hehehe might even pick it up for a laugh

When I showed a friend of mine the card game, his response was "Hmmmnnn, I may have to use some of these." (He was DMing, so it wasn't just wishful thinking.) I don't know that he's terribly representative of the market, but people picked up Hackmaster at a much higher price for its gag value (not that people don't play as well). If the price is correct, it'll be a lot cheaper than buying the original game.

yep - but that card game is lots of fun too...
...hmmm...I wonder: with Star Munchkin coming up - will there also be a Star Munchkin d20? With Star Wars d20, Traveller d20, Fading Suns d20, and Dragonstar there also seems to be a decent amount of d20 sf-gamers...

I'd point out that there is a LOT more to Hackmaster than simply "Gag value", but I'm sure you've seen that before.

My only comment really is, isn't this supplment kinda redundant after the "Splatbooks", the core book, and Forgotten realms?

Bull

At the Mid south con this last weekend. Steve Jackson (the guest of honor) said something like "he thought he would never do a D20 game, but D20 munchkin fits."

I don't agree but anyway that is what was said about it.
