A my game world is "Earth-like place", it has all the animals of Earth. When in a city or town characters will find domestic animals like horses, dogs, chickens and cows. When in the wilderness characters will find wild animals like wolves, snakes, rabbits and deer. Birds fill the skies and fish fill the waters. Vermin like rats, insects and spiders are found everywhere.
In general animals are only foes for the Player Characters until about 10th level. Though 'normal' animals can still be quite a part of the world in many ways.
