The Animator The Animator is an alien sorcerer from a philosophically advanced civilization. He was arrested and convicted of several different "crimes against philosophy" revolving around the theft of mystical artifacts and horrible rituals to test and/or activate said artifacts. Since his homeworld long ago abolished capital punishment, the Animator was exiled across time and space to a backward planet called Earth where his naughty behavior was less likely to be seen as aberrant. Since his arrival on Earth, the Animator has resumed his life of crime. The Animator not only animates an object, but also shapes the object into the likeness of a specific person, imbuing the object with the ability scores, powers, and power stunts of said person. The animate's innate hardness is lost since it gains a Constitution score, but ranks in hardness still count against ranks of Animation and still determine the animate's Strength bonus. If the animate's Strength bonus (equal to its hardness) is greater than the imitated person's Strength bonus, use the animate's Strength bonus. In most circumstances, the animate is treated as having 12 ranks in Disguise for attempts to determine it is not the actual person it imitates. Of course, the animate is under the Animator's mental control. It has none of the imitated person's memories or personality. For all intents and purposes, an animate is a living creature. It is considered to be a minion with a Power Level (for purposes of determining stacking limits) equal to Animation ranks.
