Paladin again cannot connect with the fast moving wild woman who laughs with a strange sort of enjoyment at the melee. Kitsune’s bolts against strike Death Magnet squarely but this time the floating lady was able to reinforce the area where the laser-like blast hit and the bolt bounces off harmlessly into the sky. Death Magnet snarls and says “After I tear you limb from limb I am going to tear that smug little smile off your face and paint this town in your blood!” she then waves her hands and a metal bar floats up from the rubble pile and flies into the Kitsune illusion but the illusion again appear to be able to deflect the attack off and suffers no affects (at least none that Death Magnet can see). She snarls again in frustration her eyes almost glowing with rage and anger. The crying woman seems to focus on Galatea for a second and regains some composer. She sniffs and nods her head to the granite heroine, visibly calming at least a little and her tree-like arms seem to stop growing or at least they are not growing as fast as before. Galatea then starts heading towards the rubble pile and the fight going on there... Ariel can’t really make out who’s who down below, but there are a few figures that appear to be fighting and yelling at each other. Whatever is going on its appears to be that they all have powers and are not friends. The EMT nods to the Shadow as he fades back into the shadows. The hero thinks he hears the man say “You got it, let’s get this man some help..” before reappearing back at the battle sight. Octoman is still flailing his huge tentacles about moving this way and that and growling in frustration. Throwing his bolo at Feral, the woman seems to have sensed it coming and easily avoided the attack. She glares at were the Shadow and says “Wait your turn honey! I will eat your still beating heart when I am done with shorty here” Then Octoman stumbles out of the darkness and lashes a huge tentacle (that seems to grow) and tries to wrap around the hero of shadows!!! [gm]Initiative Order 25 – Ariel 24 – The Shadow 21 – Octoman 19 – Paladin, Kitsune and Death Magnet 15 – Feral 8 – Galatea ROUND 3 Paladin missed Feral Kitusune succeed with one degrees of success vs. Death Magnet, but she got a 26 on her save and no extra affects. Still Dazed (sorry I missed that on Paladin’s description the first time, now I know), Death Magnet attacks and successfully hit Kitsune’s illusion but again her Insight is not go enough so she still believe the illusion is there. Feral uses her Agile Feint against Paladin in hopes that she can hurt him next round, but only gets a 14. Paladin should make an Acrobatics or Insight (his choice) check to resist this affect. Galatea seems to have succeed against the woman and moves 30 feet towards where the pile of rubble is. She is 70 feet from it and can double move next round to be within 10ft. IF you wanted to get their faster you could use Extra Effort. You could increase your speed by +1 (effectively doubling it) and get to either the rubble pile or Octoman as a move action next round but at the end of your Action you would suffer one level of Fatigued. Or you could send your Hero Point and ignore the level of Fatigue. ROUND 4 Ariel is not really sure what is going on down there except that meta-humans are fighting. She can’t tell yet who are the badguys and who are the goodguys… or even if anyone is good or bad yet. She needs to get closer. The Shadow moves back to the battle but his attack misses. Octoman makes a good perception roll and stubbles out of the darkness area (as a Move action). He then attacked the Shadow, but at -2 (partial concealment from the big blob of darkness) but still successfully hits. Octoman uses his Fast Grab, to as part of his attack he can make a free grab check. The initial attack counts as the grab attack check, so now the Shadow must resist with his Strength or Dodge (player’s choice) vs. a DC 18 to resist being grabbed. He must also make a Toughness save vs. the initial attack vs. DC 23 damage (so you need two checks, just let me know the order). Actions for Paladin, Kitusune and Galatea for Round 4? Then Actions for Ariel and the Shadow for round 5?? [/gm]
