You're only allowed to use one holy symbol at a time — have two and both are non-functional. The one you wear is always considered in use. But if you want, you can swap holy symbols in your hand and use all of them. As long as you don't wear one. Which is what Mirrakkah does. She typically off-turn is wielding her Sun Shield in one hand and an Aversion Staff in the other. Then on her turn, she free actions swaps to her Fire & Fury Holy Symbol, does an attack, maybe swaps to something else for a move or minor or free action option, then swaps back to Aversion Staff to end her turn. She's tended to be more of a mutt than pure Defender. Ardent Vow means a lot of damage with a close burst power+she now has all encounter/daily close burst/blast powers and no weapon-based powers at 13th. She's this now shapeshifting minor angel of the Traveler, who is not outwardly evil, but always doing uncomfortable things around the edges. The game she's in is a kind of a combination of a Living Campaign with Star Gate — random groups go to different worlds and solve problems. There's not a lot of hard character development, but she tends to be reasonably memorable. A lot of the time, it is about a quick random hook. She lies a lot, often when it isn't even necessary, and often in ways that can startle other players as to why she's lying like that. She lied to a kid that she was her aunt as an example. Huilliam tends to be stronger in that sense as he's got a really unsubtle hook. He tries to avoid danger and then the elemental possessing him doesn't even let him get the chance. So there's more humor value.
