This is my first attempt at an Epic spell, in use by bad guys in my campaign. So how's this look..? ASSAULT THE SORELY BESET Transmutation [Teleportation] Spellcraft DC: 40 Components: V, S Casting Time: 1 minute Range: Touch Effect: See text Duration: Until triggered, then see text Saving Throw: None Spell Resistance: No To Develop: 36,000 gp; 1 day. Seeds: Transport (DC 27), Foresee (DC 17). Factors: Move to time stream (+8 DC), contingent upon specific trigger (+25 DC), increase weight transported to 19,000 lbs (+36 DC), determine sorely beset (ad hoc +2 DC), ignore SR of mithral golem* (ad hoc +8 DC). Mitigating factors: Three other casters contribute 6th-level spells (-33 DC), deal 10d6 backlash damage (-10 DC), burn 4000 xp (-40 DC). Once cast, this spell waits until a specified group of individuals is sorely beset- either at least half of them are dead or incapacitated, or all are below 50% of their hit points. Once that occurs, a strike force of four willing creatures that were touched during the casting of the spell are transported to the location of the sorely beset group, where they are first granted five rounds of subjective time due to acceleration in the time stream (similar to a time stop spell) then appear to the victims as an unpleasant surprise. *In the specific of the campaign, a mithral golem is part of the strike force. Being mindless, I figure it can't lower its SR even if commanded to by its creator.
