Interesting build, though a little confusing at first. Why did you make the prerequisites very difficult for anyone but a mage class, then take away the mages power by giving them a seperate spell list and non stacking levels? I would also spread out the Force Resistance over 3 levels so it scales as well as the other abilitites. Secondly, I would delay the Force Damge until 2nd level to make sure people dont dip in one level to make their magic missles that much more lethal of a 1st lvl spell. Lastly, why is Dodge a prerequisite for this class? Here are the changes I would recomend. Prerequisites Feats: any 3 Metamagic feats Skills: Concentration 8 ranks, Knowledge (Arcana) 4 ranks, Knowledge (the planes) 4 ranks, Spellcraft 8 ranks. Special: Must be able to cast any 3 spells with the (Force) descriptor Hit dice and skills I would keep the same Class Features 1 - Mage Armor +2 2 - Force Damage +1, +1 Caster Level 3 - Force DR/5 4 - Mage Armor +4, +1 Caster Level 5 - Force Damage +2 6 - Force DR/10, +1 Caster Level 7 - Mage Armor +6 8 - Force Damage +3, +1 Caster Level 9 - Force DR/15 10 - Mage Armor +8, +1 Caster Level I changed the prerequisites around so that a Bard, Cleric, Sorcerer or Wizard could qualitfy to take it at 5th lvl. A Wizard definatly has the easiest path, with their Knowledge skills, free metamagic and ability to cast any spell in their spell book. Bards and Sorcerers are limiting themselves and their skills by focusing so much on force spells. A Cleric with the Force Domain would work very nicely. The "must have taken 30 points of force damage" is a little arbitrary. It's one of those things people can say happened to them before there character came into the campaign. So, there are my recomendations. You may even want to include the feat I wrote up (inspired by this PrC) as a prerequisite instead of one of the metamagic feats. Anyway I look foward to more of your work! Force Substitution [Metamagic] Prerequisites: any 2 other metamagic feats Benefit: You may convert any spell into a (Force) spell. Doing so causes it to deal pure magic force damage, such as from a magic missile and is not subject to any forms of elemental resistance or damage reduction. This also allows the spell to affect a incorporeal or ethereal creature without miss chance. Special: A Force Substituted spell takes up a slot 2 levels higher than normal.
