My ICONS Clarification Notes PDF

FYI: I've updated my ICONS Clarification Notes to a new version (v.2.0). I've switched now from a text file to a formatted PDF. I've also organized the topics to better fit the organization of the ICONS Superpowered Roleplaying core book (so you may see a few topics that fit into more than one chapter duplicated). This file is updated with all the latest clarifications including Steve Kenson's recent suggestions for Falling Damage.

If this is your first time seeing this, it includes a collection of ICONS rules clarification questions with answers from Steve Kenson et al. from various sources such as RPGNet and the ICONS Yahoo Group mailing list. Inside you will find clarification on topics related to powers, determination, aspects (qualities and challenges), tagging and compelling, villains and determination, point-buy character creation option, blindness and more.

I hope this continues to be useful to my fellow ICONS players. The scope of this document is clarifications to the core rules from the designers and publisher. Any suggestions for future updates including layout and suggestions for inclusion are always welcome.

Please note: this is not an official ICONS publication and is not endorsed by Adamant Entertainment. It is just one anal retentive with obsessive-compulsive disorder fan's attempt to collect all the clarifications for this amazing Supers roleplaying game in one place!

Thanks Mike! The real thanks should go to the ICONS fans who ask such great questions (and answers as well), and Steve Kenson and Gareth Skarka for their commitment to the fans.

Right now the file is hosted on the semi-official Yahoo ICONS group and at the ICONS Truth, Justice and Gaming Wiki. ICONS fans seem to be finding it and quoting from it and pointing people to it, but RPGNow hosting might be an option. Since it's not an "officially sanctioned" document or anything, I guess it would be up to Adamant Entertainment (i.e. Gareth) to make that call. I'm not a publisher so I don't have RPGNow file upload access, so somebody else would have to do that and take responsibility for making sure the latest version is available. Might be more of a headache than it's worth, but if someone wants to do it, I wouldn't object.

Thanks again, Mike! One of these days we really need to get together at a con or some such and play ICONS, go drinking or some combination of the two.
