I just wanted to post the introduction to the new campaign, done up a little like the ads you see in the movie theatre before the movie that you actually paid to see. Please tell me what you think. [BEGIN DRAMATIC MUSIC] It is an age of exploration… Tales of the voyages of Cristofero Colombo to the Indies have spread across Europe. Some think the Atlantic is a new Silk Road, leading a brave merchant to the riches of the East. Some question if the route that he discovered leads to the Indies at all, and whisper of a New World. It is an age of adventure… Wars continue to rage across Europe, and a soldier who is not too picky about his employer may find excitement and wealth. With firepowder on the battlefield, the rules of engagement are starting to shift, but have not changed entirely. Swords and longbow are still useful against muskets and pikes, for the new technology is not entirely dependable. It is an age of travel… Those who want to make money with less bloodshed can face the long Silk Road to the East, past the ruins of Byzantium to mysterious Persia, through colorful India, over the great bleak steppes, and finally to China. A safe trading journey may take a few years, but could net enough wealth to retire in style. That is, if you live to return at all. And yet, there is still wonder at home… There have always been mysterious paths that lead into the deep forest, overgrown and unused, that are said to lead…elsewhere. There are also certain places, deep within mountain caves, or inside hollow trees, or within circles of standing stones, where the world seems thinner, and those who know how may pass right through to the other side. In such a modern world, few still believe in these old ways. Of those who do, and travel these dark roads, few return. And those who do return, are never the same. THE END So... It's got pirates, guns, caravans, and visits to the Realm of Faerie, among other things.
