I would view Hasbro's duty to put D&D in capable hands and make sure it turns a profit, and manage it in a sustainable fashion. If I were the manager of a car brand, and I was told by the bosses that in our brand, everyone was expected to trade in their car for a new model every two years, I would think they are insane.
