My two greatest RPG loves

This is kind of a statement and a request for suggestions from the board.

First I want to say that I love the D20 system.

Second that I love Mechwarrior.

A match made in heaven, or never shall the twain meet?

I just re-read Heir To The Dragon for about the fifth time, and it got me thinking could a D20 system Mechwarrior/Battletech game work?

What do you think?

Mongoose Publishing is releasing ARMAGEDDON 2089 : TOTAL WAR this year, it's a mecha d20 game. Sounds right up your alley.

(Mystic Eye Games has license to publish support material for it, which I am working on)

Also, Gardians of Order are publishing a mecha d20 game, and Dream Pod 9 are publihsing a mecha supplement to go with it.

Finally, there is the Mecha Crusade d20 mini-game that appeared mid last year in Dungeon / Polyhedron.

Yeah the system was o.k.
Although 1st edition was too hard in terms of character improvement, and 2nd edition was too easy.

But it was fast and dirty, like good sci-fi should be.

I have the same problem as you with my gaming group; I'm the current DM (D&D). But I can't get them too play Mechwarrior, as the Battletech part takes too long!!!

By the way, thanks for the welcome.
