[QUOTE="Sagan Darkside, post: 542208, member: 9270"] Do you have any idea where you want the campeign to go? Do you hope to use the city as a base of operations? And/or the cult to become enemies? Some ideas: 1) A "young" elven druid has come to the city to deliver a scroll to the cult's leaders, but ends up mugged. The pc's could help the druid out. This gives you a future friendly npc and some low level reocurring villians. 2) They have been hired to escort a caravan of weapons/supplies to one of the human settlements. 3) Of course, there is my favorite type of low level adventure: the runaround. A friend of the pc's wants to join the city guard or something along those lines. Unfortunetly for him, getting into the guard involves politics. He asks the pc's to speak with the captain on his behalf. The captain is willing to bring their friend into the guards if they do him a favor- perhaps pick up a package from a store. Unfortunetly the store owner accidently shipped it to another customer. That customer won't hand over the package unless the pc's do him a favor. And so on- for 6 or 7 npc's. The purpose of this adventure is to introduce a lot of npc's in one session. You can then use these npc's and their little intrigues for future adventures, and have a convenient connection to the pc's. It can also serve to introduce the politics/laws of the city. I always like to have one of the final npc's in the chain be one of the top people in the area... who then conviently forgets the pc's, after mistreating them. Good luck- sounds like a fun world.
