Just got Joe's message... Thank you, thank you, and thank you. That's my response (to answer Jason's question). This could be one of those great marketing tests: is there no such thing as bad publicity? No, it's not really. I hope you've ALL bought the book to find all the errors, though! :D Holy cow, guys. I'm so sorry! What do you think would be the proper thing to do to correct this mistake? I'll have to get it out to a bunch of poeple, since I sent the initial press release to 10 rpg websites and 2 or 3 companies (including WOTC themselves...should I have addressed it straight to the lawyers??? D'oh!) Some perspective on the issue: professional full time publishers vs. two guys and a garage. This is a third (fourth if you include family) job for me. It's a hobby, and a hell of a fun one. I think we've got some cool ideas, and my good friend (co-founder) is an awesome graphic artist. Not making excuses. I know where we fall on the execution/non-execution side of the ball. Just some perspective. One thing that I find really cool, personally, is the teamwork of the d20 community. We grow the market together. We expand on the greatest, most cutting edge, ideas to improve the game. And we support each other financially, by purchasing each other's best projects. Here's the one problem: you don't get to choose who joins this team. I can't imagine how tough that makes it on the leaders in this industry (points to the amazing list of posters to this thread). There's not a ton of love in being a leader in any group. You've got to do it because you LOVE it, or because you're the most qualified. So, thank you to Jason (who provided us feedback on our website when we launched it a year ago). Thank you to Steve, who may or may not remember me talking his ear off at the Bastion Press booth at Origins this year. Thank you to Eric and Kevin who helped shape this community. And special thanks to Chris for reading my press release (not!). Hello??? I guess meeting at Origins and two ENWorld Ohio gatherings wasn't sufficient to stick out in mind when you saw our news item/press release!
