"Mystic Theurge" for Cleric/Psion?

So, there's a class to mesh Wizards and Clerics, and one to mesh Wizards and Psions. Is there one to allow progression of a Cleric and Psion, or -- better -- a Druid and Psion?

I didn't even know there was a class mix for Wizards and Clerics! What would it be called? And where can I find info on it.

Is it just me, or are these theurge classes just a trick to gain spells/powers at double the rate of someone switching between classes with the multiclassing rules?

Actually, they're a trick to avoid getting totally screwed by multiclassed caster rules. A Wizard3/Cleric3/MysticTheurge10 is a viable 16th level character. A Wizard 8/Cleric 8 is extra baggage.

Point taken. I am just not sure it is realistic or balanced...

Well, you're not alone - there are threads that go on for dozens of pages arguing about it.

What we've noticed is a tendency, though, for people who look at the class on paper to say "That's not balanced!", and people who look at the class in play to say "It works out okay - and it's pretty weak through the low-mid levels."

There are people who've seen it in play who still feel it's unbalanced, but they seem to be in a minority.
