Message: <blockquote data-quote="gyor" data-source="post: 6944336" data-attributes="member: 6670153">I think the Dragon Sorceror is the sorceror gish. The reason they added some martial ability to the Favoured Soul is because the favoured soul was always somewhat Martial in the past. Favoured Soul got weapon prof in their deities weapon, and because its MAD most people focused on buffs and summoning over healing spells, damage spells and spells that required a save.  In 4e the Favoured Soul was a Paragons Path of Avenger, which is now a Paladin Oath, so maybe the Favoured Soul should be a Paladin Oath. The Mystics mechanics just fits with the Sorceror better, the Favoured Soul class didn't have the weapons to make good use of a second attack and its better using Greenflame Blade for Melee anyways. The extra spells known bothered alot of people, its was really the only reason to take Favoured Soul, the winga were good too, but the Dragon Sorceror already got those.</blockquote>
