All Paladins can be Heroic (yes, even Oath of Conquest and Oathbreaker Paladins). It felt a bit too generic a name. Oath of Glory drives in at the specific idea of a warrior dedicated to their own great exploits and heroic visage. The various colonial conquistadores of Spain, Portugal, and yes, England too (among many other European powers) were dedicated to the 3 Gs, God, Gold, and Glory, as were the Crusaders of late medieval Europe. Monstrous mass-murderers though they were, I point this out because Glory is a separate category from piety. Glory is about one's own outward greatness and appearance.The term is often linked with western religious traditions because of the idea that the most glorious being is the god worshiped (i.e. Gloria in excelsis deo), but this is a latter and parallel development of the term. To this day the (oft-used in jest) war cry, "For Glory!" doesn't mean "For God!" (that would be "For the Glory of God!") it means, "For Our Own Recognition and Popularity due to our Exploits!"</blockquote>
