Dude ran a tight ship and I remember he took the rules of that ship extremely seriously, and he had his own code of ethics (which were generally pro-human) that he was strict to keep. That says lawful good to me. For people opposed to that (who also can be lawful good of their own account for their own reasons) they would disagree, but I don't think narratively there's enough juice to claim he's chaotic (that is definitely not the ship and crew of a chaotic captain) or outright evil.Or maybe my memory is bad?
