Name some faerie alternatives for a new species?

So I'm a little over hobbits and halflings, so I would like find a race like "faerie" but I don't want one with wings.
There are leprechauns and brownies but I think they are too small, I would like a species that is at least 4' tall?
I think faun is a possibility. But what other alternatives can you think of that might be a decent substitute for a hobbit/halfing/kender?
I'm not referring to anything particular game system, just something from mythology.

Dwarves or Gnomes (just give them "Fey Ancestry")?

Personally, I renamed halfings as hillenfaey (hillfey) for my campaign, focused more on their pastoral nature and connection to nature.

Thats a blast from the past, forgot about them. Its a really good choice but I can't use a D&D one due to copyright. Doing a little googling though it does give me a related option (Korrigan - Wikipedia) that is maybe where it came from.

Seelie seems decent, I'll have to think about it, I don't want my faeries to be silly of course, these are serious fey

Hillfey is pretty cool, I like that as another option. Red caps too evil, pech maybe too much like gnome.
