Yes it does!
I have high hopes for this movie. I think that Lewis' work is much more adaptable to the screen than most of the material you see adapted these days. (I am looking at you Lord of The Rings.)
I am a picky English major and movie buff however, so what does my opinion matter.

Yes, the trailer looks great. I read the book so long ago that I have forgotten most of the particulars of the story, which is probably a good thing.

How many books are in the Narnia series?

EDIT: Forget it, I just found the number: 7.

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
Prince Caspian
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
The Silver Chair
The Horse and His Boy
The Magicians Nephew
The Last Battle

I can only recall reading the first book, tho. Odd...

Well the Magicians Nephew is a prequel and A Horse and His Boy is tangetial
so the Chronicles proper consist of 5 books + 2

Wow. It has been long enough that I remember enjoying the books as a child, but I'm not going to be nit-picky with changed details if the film is otherwise well done.

Also, it looks good! :)
