Sorry pal but that just aint happening. Still got me smites, still immune to diesease, still a Paladin. I just happen to be inhabiting the whining maggot of a sorcerers body. At least being female now justifies all the whining though. Let's get one thing straight, (and this is for all those with the paladiny opinions who wouldn't know a paladin if it smote you with a warhammer that had the words 'I am a paladin' etched into it), I wasn't gambling with other peoples lives. 1. Sorcerer and Cleric of Pelor made a deal with THE Gith Lich Queen, (I had died saving their sorry asses from a couple of rounds of full-attacks from a Slaadi King wielding a vile spiked chain): 'get me my phylactery back'. 2. A few sessions back I came up with the idea of possibly being able to procure something that might interefere with psionics and we were told that it could be found on a plane of air. 3. After being ressurected we were brought up to speed on the Lich deal. Personally I thought that even if we managed to get the phylactery, she wouldn't let us go after giving it to her and I'd been charged with destroying her anyway. Therefore the 'something' mentioned in 2 came up again as possible insurance. 4. We found out that this 'something' happened to be, IIRC, either a potent spirit, or possibly a by product of, brewed by a cloud giant on the plane of air. The cloud giant was not noted for his friendliness either. 5. I came up with the idea of visiting this giant with a pretty potent brew we had encountered/imbibed before on a plane of chaos, (it was a fey wine, in fact it was several types of fey wine), with the intention of possibly trading with him. 6. In order to secure the fey wine however I needed to use a lesser planar binding to invite one of the little buggers to us. So I did. The fey wasn't going to part with it though unless I played a 'game' with him, (the last time we played 'games' wasn't so bad so I acccepted). 7. We played, I lost, (several times), me and Davion switched bodies and he changed gender.......big deal, no harm done. 8. I procured a bottle of fey wine in order to further our cause. 9. We now have a very good chance of getting what we need without a confrontation with the cloud giant. 10. All in all, not a bad night, and with no anti-paladiness! I hope that has clarified the situation? Right, now back to abusing bodies..........you've some good ideas there Al but I can only think of one........ If the fey wine gambit fails.........I/you could always sleep with the cloud giant!!! P.S. Since when was gambling considered Chaotic? Sure there's chance and randomness involved but that hardly qualifies as an alignment change.
