For the third time in a few days it starts to rain in Nazareth. Chance, Harper, and Law The group arrives in the bookstore, where Agnasci's spell is floating motionless near the counter. Penrose approaches the spell. "Has it been scrutinized?" It hasn't, but Penrose doesn't wait for anyone to answer. He raises an eyebrow and keeps his gaze locked on to it for a few moments. "Yes, it's Agnasci's. It's a scrying window." Even despite the apparent emergency he doesn't hold back his criticism, "He finally managed one. Crisis is the best teacher." He scratches at the rash on the back of his hand while he thinks. "Agnasci, send Faye another message. Tell her where you are." Agnasci BR and Buddha-man have stood Agnasci up outside the bathroom. On the other side of the open door Mad Dog is waiting on the toilet for the bath to fill. He's scribbling in a sketchpad. The room is full of lit candles and there are at least half a dozen mirrors on the walls. "All right, Mad Dog," says BR. His voice is shaky. Mad Dog looks up at Agnasci and gets to his feet. He holds up the sketchpad in front of his captive's face: He's drawn what Agnasci assumes is the crucifixion of Christ - three men on crosses. The central figure has a crown of thorns, and the figure on the right has had his face scratched out with a pencil. "That's Saint Gestas." Agnasci screams as he feels something slither into his mind. He's overtaken by a vision of the scene Mad Dog has sketched. Christ is in the center, and the Penitent and Impenitent are on the crosses on either side. The ground opens up beneath the rightmost figure and he falls, crucifix and all, into subterranean black waters. Agnasci doesn't fully understand how he knows, but he's sure that somehow, impossibly, what he's witnessed is a name. Not a name that can be spoken aloud or written on paper, but a name nonetheless. The words Saint Gestas and Mad Dog's drawing are merely pieces of it. Agnasci is left feeling exhausted by the experience and his struggles come to a momentary halt as he slumps numbly in the arms of his captors. He's roused by a voice from his scrying window. He gathers the strength to switch his focus and in the next moment he sees Penrose, Faye, Chance, Harper, and Law all arrayed around him. "Agnasci, send Faye another message." It's Penrose talking. "Tell her where you are."
