Tech problems & Pizza Hey folks, Thanks for Rel for the praise of Trinoc*coN. We did have a great time this year and broke several numbers records. Even better we saw quite a few people that we knew from NC Game Days, as well as got to spread the word about NCGDV amongst the people that had come to Trinoc*coN looking for other opportunities for more similar fun! I've started an email thread with Belen Umeria about what his current setup is to figure out why the login script isn't working for him. In the interim, those of you with this problem, set your bookmarks for the NC Game Day site to: http://ncgameday.dhorizon.org/login.php This is a simpler login page that will allow you to get in without the extra scripting that is on the front page. As for the pizza, we heard some issues last year with timing of the pizza, specifically it was going to be too late for most people to be there for. So, we would like to propose doing the pizza option at lunch time instead, getting some cheese, pepperoni and a couple of mushroom pizzas and letting people just come and buy slices from them as they're hungry/get lunch breaks. Dealing with the logistics of trying to have exactly enough pizza was a bit back-breaking, and instead we'd like to charge .50 more per slice (bringing it up to a nice round $2/slice) to allow us to buy extra pizzas to cover not knowing exactly how much is needed. This would allow those who wanted to go out and have fun for the dinner portion to do so after their events finish up, and lessen the problems with games that let out early or run late. We would like you guys' feedback on this, as it's your game day too. We also saw quite a bit of people getting their pizza then going back to their games, or going elsewhere instead of sitting in the open area with the others. So there wasn't really much mixing involved in the dinner portion. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing you all again in a couple of months! Neal
