Well, I did it. I posted my game at the Official Site - pending staff approval of course. Added it to the Sunday a.m. slot, making Sunday the unofficial Day of the Dwarf. ----------------------------- The Hammer of Thorend Kuldalagh ---------------------------- An adventure inspired by Badaxe Games, intended for 4-6 players who aren't afraid to play the mightiest of PC races: the dwarves! Using D&D 3.5 rules, featuring low magic and action points in a grim quest to find the Hammer of Thorend Kuldalagh. Pre-gen characters will be provided. Scottish accents are purely optional. ----------------------------- The Thunder Mountains have echoed with the sounds of war since your clan carved out Dwurheim's first tunnel an age ago. Clashes with the elves to the east, the giants to the north, and the ever present threat of the orcs have taken their toll on the dwarven holdings over the centuries. An empire that stretched from one side of the range to the other during your grandfather's day has shrunk through attrition to a few isolated delves. And in the process mighty magics of old have been lost. But change is in the offing. A treaty with the elves has eased conflict along one border, and giantish raids have dwindled to a few isolated incidents in the last decade. The orcs continue to swarm through the crumbling glory of dwarven empire like so many rats, but that threat seems a manageable one now that more attention can be focused on it. Especially now that word of the Hammer has resurfaced. Rumor of it came from an unlikely source: the elves of Feywood. Their bards still sing songs of the legendary hero Thorend Kuldalagh, who with his mighty Hammer single-handedly broke the back of an orcish horde in the battle of Norotharglar. In Dwurheim it was thought that no dwarf had survived that battle and that the Hammer of Thorend Kuldalagh must hang in the hall of some orcish despot. But the elves tell a different tale in which Thorend Kuldalagh - bloodied but still very much alive - made it back to the fallen outpost of Sargh-Norothin and was entombed within when kobold sappers collapsed the place from below... sealing his mighty Hammer with him beneath tons of stone. Someone needs to recover the Hammer of Thorend Kuldalagh, symbol of dwarven prowess. Its return would rally all the delves to unite and crush for once and all the threat of the orcish hordes. Are you and your kin up to the task?
