Message: <blockquote data-quote="P99" data-source="post: 325722" data-attributes="member: 6895">I just picked up my copy of Necropolis.  There was only one thing wrong with it...US price about $30, Canadian Price 47$$$.  The Warp Stores in Edmonton are pirates!!!However...Cost aside the book is Great!!!I own the original Necropolis for the Mythus game and it was Classic Gygax with more meat in it than the excellent but thin 1E modules he used to write.  The d20 version is harcover and very thick.  Unlike many of the new d20 adventures which are quite short compared to the old 1E one, this one has LOTS of fleshing out to the various areas and Gygax has thrown in lots of little details like money, society etc. (like the old 1E dmg).The adventure is quite well written with lots of side trips and complex plot/tactical outcomes depending on what the players do. The back of the book has a BIG section on all the NPC's (for photocopying I think) as well as LOTS of monsters and other goodies.  Maps are all in the back as well as sprinkled through the book.Except for the first chapter, all the sections in the adventures have full statblocks for opponents in the room to alleviate one from flipping back and forth...(like how Dungeon magazines just list hp's and then you have to flip thru your MM).To the individuals responsible for the conversion congratulations on a job well done.To Col.
