It need not be horribly smart, but perhaps it is very connected to feelings and therefore very intuitive.You could make it so that it is also incorporeal during the day, and with a distinct lack of power, like a wraith, but if so, it should have some sort of hiding place. I'd make it so it can shift to the Ethereal or the Shadow Plane, or maybe it can't leave either until nightfall. The sonic breath weapon could be a cacophony of terrifying screams, but going with the nightmare concept, I thought something like a wind full of whispers that cause nausea/confusion/fear might be more appropriate.Also, I thought about the business of it granting wishes, and the idea came to me that something connected to dreams might be able to read desires, and manifest them through illusion-type spells... some of which can certainly be real enough. Hope this helps a bit. I'd make it an Aberration, but Outsider or Fay would do too.-MsM</blockquote>
