Thank you for even taking the time to read this thread. I am in a bit of a bind. This week on 30/Nov/2005 I am running a game that features three psionic bad guys prominately. Without going into a huge posting about their backstory here is the quick version. 1. They are three brothers and are all psionic. They can be triplets or just very close in age. 2. Psionic ability is not known to the land they are from and also not known in the country or surrounding countries that the quest takes place in. 3. They are religious, Lawful Evil and follow the deity Zarus. Zarus is featured in the book "Races of Destiny". He is a human supremacist god and are follow him seeing their powers as a gift from Zarus to make them better. Magic is something any race can learn but psionics so far have only been seen with humans that follow Zarus. 4. They work secretly for the a cult that follows Zarus. 5. The most experianced brother is 6th level, the others are 5th and 4th levels respectivly. All have at least 1 level in Soulknife. I was thinking of breaking it down this way. Oldest Brother: Soulknife 5/Rogue1...was trying to build a stealth assassin Middle Brother: Soulknife 1/Fighter 2/Psychic Warrior2...was trying to build a tank assassin Youngest Brother: Soulknife 1/ Wilder 4...was trying to do fake spell using assassin. 6. Classes can be moved and changed so as long as you don't go above the levels. The party is all about 4th level and there are around 5 players. They have never encountered psionics and are going to be taken by suprise by it. In my world psionics and magic are not totally "transparent" as per the Expanded Psionics Handbook but are close. For example Detect Magic and Dispel Magic won't work on psionic powers but an elf's natural immunity to sleep works regardless of the source. I guess the best word is that magic and psionics are "translucent". 7. I would like as many of them have the feat "Mental Leap" if possible. 7. Their current mission take place in a city at a festival that various heads of state, church bishops, non-human heads of state and guild masters are all celebrating. The cult of Zarus wants to spoil things and influence the Human Kingdom to become human supremacists as they were over 50+ years ago. They are to murder key people of interest and to blame it on others, inciting dissention among various nations and power groups such as the Holy Church (somewhat seperate from the human nobility), the High Elf Kingdom, Dwarven City State and the Human Kingdom. The goal is to create a hostile enviroment in which they all think that each other are enemies. 8. Once again...the psionic assassins are human that feel the current rulers of the kingdom and the heads of the church are betrayers to their race and want to start a revolution by sparking things up. I have the events already planned...just need the bad guys to do it. So any takers...can anyone please help this overworked DM?
