Need a Metamagic feat...

Does anyone know of a feat that allows characters to take a spell not normally on their spell list?

Barring that, what level does the Eldritch Master gain that ability at?

The closest I know is the "Minor Divine Spellcaster" feat from Dragon 305 that lets you use about three orisons (level 0 cleric spells) per day even if you aren't a cleric. I think there's a druid version of this feat called "Redheaded" in Ravenloft Gazeteer Volume One. Beyond that, AFAIK, you're out of luck.

As for the Eldritch Master...what product is this PrC in?

it wouldn't be a metamagic feat. It would be a general feat.

And why use a feat? Research the spell. Unless it is a healing spell for a wizard there shouldn't be a problem.

Divine Blessing, Quintessential Wizard, p.48

Choose one Cleric or Druid spell of any level up to one level less than the highest level spell you can cast. You add this spell to your spellbook and can cast it as an arcane spell. You can only take this feat once.

Eldritch Master was a PrC from Dragon #280 roughly. It gave several extra spells of level 1-5, some interesting special abilities, and an occasional spell level boost, as well as a few spells not on your list, but had no level progression.
