Need a one shot pre-gen game

Our current DM is unable to make it to our next game. What we have talked about in the past is playing a one shot of some game the nights this happens. I know that some game companies do a "trial version" of their game with a short adventure, some pre-gens and a enough rules needed to play the game.

Any suggestions on what to play? Don't worry about genre or anything like that, the point is we want to try different games. This is where we get to maybe try out a genre we're interested in or to try out a new set of rules.

If you feel confident with your 3.5/OGL game mechanics and don't mind looking up a few things on the d20PFSRD if required, the 16 page, free module We Be Goblins is a great one shot and extremely entertaining.

No character generation required. It comes with 4 Goblin pre-gens.

They also made a little "all in one" for the recent FreeRPG day. Its a modern horror movie scenario. Its fun, just be careful in the church scene (I had a TPK there in one of the two times I ran it)
