I am making a Monkish character that has great Jumping abilities. I am just having some difficulties trying to figure out how to calculate his Jump because I have a lot of different items/feats that factor into it. I have a PsyWar 1 / Monk 6 Base Movement: 30' Unarmored Movement: 50' Movement with Boots of S&S: 100' Ring of Jumping (+30 unnamed bonus to Jump check) Boots of S&S (+10 competence bonus to Jump) Total Jump Skill: 55 (+11 Ranks, +2 Strength, +2 Tumble, +30 Ring of Jumping, +10 Boots of S&S) I also have the Mental Leap feat. Let's assume I take 10 on a Jump check. Where do I even begin to calculate what my Jump is? Some things that confuse me: 1) Under Jump it states, "If you have a higher speed, increase th distance jumped proportionally". So if I had a speed of 50, that would be 2/3rds higher from a base speed of 30. So if I ended up Jumping 6 feet, 2/3rds of that would be 4, so the end result is 10 feet. 2) Do I also need to consider the extra speed from my Boots? In which case, that would be 100 feet which is 3 and 1/3rds the distances. So a 6 foot Jump would then be 20 (6 x 3 = 18 + 2 =20), correct? 3) Then I also have to consider the Mental Leap feat which states "You Jump twice as far or as high as indicated on your Jump check." When do I factor this in? At the very end? Does this override the 3 and 1/3rd extra distance I Jumped on number 2? In which case, it would be less (6 foot Jump x 2 from Mental Leap = 12 feet)? That doesn't make much sense IMO. Or do I calculate this in at the very end. So my 20 foot Jump from number 2 is actually 40 feet? I need someone to write type up these steps if they could. Once I see them, I'll understand. Let's say I want to do a Standing High Jump. I have a 53 Jump and I will be Taking 10, so that comes out to a 63. How high can I Jump?
