So I was looking at an empty folder at work yesterday on my computer. The problem was that before hurricane Frances came by it had some of notes from my new Eberron game. Most of it was just little notes to myself, but one thing I needed was the character progression for one of my PC's. And my books are where we play, which is at one of my other player's houses.
Here's the background she came up with. She wanted to make a half-golem, but didn't like the template, she wanted to be half-Nimblewright. So she came up with this background which I modified a little.
During the Last War House Cannith had parrallel projects going on for the creation of what would become the Warforged. Some of them believed that creating a construct was a waste of time, why not enhance existing soldiers. This was useful in that soldiers could get a replacement for lost or damged limbs.
Some of the "developers" took it a little to far and made half-golems. These were seen as failures as they became mindless things that had lost their "spark of life". These projects were abandoned after the Warforged were created.
But one Artificer had another idea, what about putting the "spark of life" into an existing construct, instead of making a number of generic constructs, like the Warforged, he wanted to create constructs for specific purposes. He found an elf who had been one of the test subjects for previous experiments. He experimented on her and using dragonshards was able to bind her into the body of a Nimblewright. Intending for her to be infiltration and assasination.
He was found out by his superiors and was "taken off the project". When they opened the cells where she was located, they found an elf with a few modifications and discreetly had her taken someplace where she was brought back to good health. What they didn't know was that she was using her Change Self ability to look like what she remebered. She remembered being exprerimented on so kept those parts.
My idea was to have her eventually become a full Nimblewright as her memory returns. She has already stated that she wanted to eventually take a few levels of Sorcerer, so I could probably drag this out for a while before she figures out that her spells are actually spell like abilities.
So I need some help to write up a Nimbleright as a Class as listed in Savage Species. At first level I gave her +4 D, +2 Con, -2 W and -4 Ch with a natural armor bonus of 2.
