Need Help Raising a Temple of Bahamut

My CG Thief (Iron Heroes) has seen the light and accepted Bahamut as her savior. the DM was cool enough to allow me to develop the character as a religious leader so that I can attempt to raise a temple of Bahamut. I already have the Leadership feat and am planning to take the Followers feat (from Dynasties and Demagogues), so I've got finding new recruits covered. Also, my thief has a really good background in the social feats (such as Devious Manipulator 1-3 and Political Mastermind 1-4), so converting non-believers should go smoothly as well.

Aside from the people and money aspects of start-up (and the social problems of being a well-known thief and geisha turned self proclaimed prophet), what other things should I be wary of in starting the temple?

So, not to toot my own horn, but Power of Faerun lays out the process to turn yourself into a religious leader, using the Leadership feat as a base. Aside from the examples, it's all applicable to any game world. Look at the Religion chapter and the Appendix in your FLGS.

Excellent idea... and the Affiliations chapter in phbII will also be a great help.

1. Can you afford to make the building large enough to contain a colossal visitor or a few gargantuan ones?
1a. Will you be able to provide sanctuary to beings so immense?
2. Can you put up a defense against beings of similar sizes. A temple of Bahamut will likely be besieged by minions of Tiamat. Can you handle that?
3. Not everyone knows or cares Bahamut is a strictly good dragon god. Can you be ready for those who only know Dragon = Glory and Gold? Fighting againt unfriendly Iron Heroes characters is messy and unprofitable. At least in D&D Dragonslayer NPCs have nice loot. The Broke Badasses of Iron Heroes at best have Masterwork weapons and armor and a hazardous magic weapon if you are unlucky.

Start with a coupla fireballs, and maybe an earthquake if you're high enough level...

Oh, raising
Heh, I was going to post something very similar, but my idea involved dragons dropping boulders from very, very high up.
