My campaign has reached 8th level which is the highest I've ever DM'ed a group before. So I'm not that familiar with all of the magical options available to me.
If I have a PC stranded in an Inner Plane, and I want an NPC located on an Outer Plane to help get that PC out of the Inner Plane and onto a safe location on another plane, what spells, scrolls, & magical items could I use to accomplish this? The NPC can cast 9th level spells if need be.
The trick is, the PC would need to be able to contact the NPC, and then the NPC would need to be able to "teleport" the PC & his friends to the Outer Plane. How can this be done?
