Great concept so far. I vote for CN, but mostly as a representation of her duality. Often sea deities are seen as both nurturing and destructive, depending on their mood and the season. She would likely have a multitude of titles based on her different aspects again not uncommon. Choosing a nmae is important too. Given that any thought? Thallasomer (mangled unauthentic pidgin Greek/Latin for Sea-Salt) and thus The Bountiful Thallasomer, Shark-toothed Thallasomer, Thallasomer of the Dancing Waves, Thallsomer the Drowner, Thallasomer Black Eyes. I love the idea of the drowning ritual (or perhaps near drowning?). I believe there is something similar in A Game of Thrones. I am invisioning her worship as very sensual, lots of insense, dancing, drums, and even sacrifices. I bet she prefers the sacrifice of land animals, by drowning at that. Her clerics probablly speak of her more as a demanding and dominering lover than anything else. If she is the child of an old god, is that god dead? Perhaps she rose from the body of a great sea dragon, split open by some hero. Or was she even the humanoid offspring of diety, now risen to the rank of godhood by quests of her own. He orgins can play a big part in how she relates to the world and how her worshipers view her. Harpoon might be a more appropriate weapon than Trident. But, what do sailors and pirates use in your world? That wepon might be associated with the godess. A special curved sword or dagger would be good choices. Or even a net. Sound like a great idea. Love to hear what you end up with.
