Ok, so I'm a lazy DM, I'm sure there are more than a few of you others out there. I have some big picture ideas, but I suck at actually drawing maps and fleshing out the actual adventures, it seems too much like homework for me and I hate homework. But I still want to play more and I've got a small group of pals that really want to play more. This seems like a super nice community and so I was hoping I can throw out some of the big picture stuff. Background: Solo campaign, my brother has a 12th level Warlock. I bought an old "Baldurs Gate" city pack that gives a decent map of the city and the major characters of the town. Right now, he wants to become a player in the citie's crime rings and Thieves guild, which at 12th level he'll more than likely be able to pull off. The campaign style is going to be reminiscent of the "Dresden Files", a city with a normal facade of human activity, with a seething underworld of magical and fey powers that go largely unnoticed. Dresden Files with a touch of Buffy thrown in. And some Mary Shelley style horror. There are white hates, black hats, and groups that are just weird and hard to categorize(aboleth cults, fey, etc..). Current adventure idea has his warlock paired up with a Vampire who's sorta, kinda one of the good guys. They are going to go in through some sewers to a mad scientists place in the lower city. They'll fight their way through the sewer into his laboratory. There will be flesh golems, ghouls and ghasts in numbers, and some young adult black dragons who work with the "Dr. Frankenstein" guy who's making them all. The dragons come from a swamp about 15 miles outside the city connected through a long cavern network to the city sewers. They are the brood of an adult black dragon who lives in the swamps and will be a villain later on. What I need are maps and maybe some specifics on the layout. Does anyone know of a similar DND module out there I can purchase perhaps, or maybe just some suggestions? Any help would be nice. Thanks!
