Need Help With SW Plots/Campaign Ideas

shadowlight

First Post
I'm starting a Star Wars (d20 revised) game in a couple of weeks and I need some help with ideas for adventure plots and campaign story arcs. Here are the constraints:

- There is only going to be one player (female bounty hunter type, force sensitive)
- It will take place post RotJ, but ignoring the New Jedi Order story.
- The player wants to have something to do with smuggling slaves to freedom.

Thanks in advance!!

Your ignoring the NJO...so are you setting it 'before' that or just completely ignoring it? Does this mean your ignoring the rest of the continuity?
It will be set at the same time but ignoring the continuity. My player hasn't read the NJO books...

Ah, right...

If you to really emphasize the slave saving and such, and go your own way with a lot of things...you could have the PC working against the Ssi-Ruuk. Though they got very reclusive after the events in True at Bakura, they used humans as 'droids' in their weapons. Force Sensitives were even better, as they helped with coordination and faster weapons.

If you don't like that, maybe something with remnants of the Black Sun coming back. They lost a lot of power after the OT, but its possible they could try coming back throgh some Outer Rim slave trading.

Though an obvious choice for anti-slavery stuff would be the Hutts. Except they're good source of money/jobs for Bounty Hunters...

yeah star wars....

let's see :The Empire or Republic, iether way a serious gov. has for some
time allowed the use of slaves,at planets even close to Corse:):):):),however
recently they have cut the trading routes with the need for passes, and a restricted interaction for this industry. Some places have obviuosley formed
secretive units within the aknowledged gov. affected by this trade block of sorts.

As a anti-gov. type this player seeks to make a series of major trades that are effected by this, infiltrating those that may help, finding that there are
Empire operitives watching, and finding that the Jedi are making means to free so many slaves that ,maybe it's better to join them.

Once a series of scenarios ends, the player finds themslef in a three way combat with an Empire general,a Sith, and themself,as civil unrest or a rebellion takes place.

You could always have it take place in one section of space somewhere, and have that area set up with a slavery setup. Keeping it relatively small make sit a lot easier to work against intitially and easier to plan for. And, if you like it, 'finish' the first portion and want to extend it out, you can always generate clues that lead to something bigger.

Oh, and experimentation on unwilling subjects always makes for a good story (and occasional super-warriors).

That's why I suggested using the Ssi-Ruuk. They pretty much fit all of that. :)

D'oh! I can't believe I didn't immediately think "Hutts!" They're perfect!

This sounds really cool, but I'm not sure if I understand it... So the government has secretly been allowing the use of slaves and then decides to cut off its trade routes to the slaving planets?

I really like both of these ideas. I think keeping it to a small area of space will let it grow bigger later, and then I don't have to worry about running in to any of the iconic Star Wars characters.
