What I'd do to compensate for loss of spells in a Druid... hmm. Well besides weapon/armor/BAB increases. Tough call since not only is the Druid losing ability to cast spells, but also spontaneously summon monsters, as well as the bonus of the Natural Spell feat. Could start by increasing the bonus of Natures Sense to +4 or more, as well as granting a larger bonus to Wild Empathy, say another +4. Also a greater benefit on Resist natures Lure wouldnt be out of line. I'd also throw in the Alertness feat at the same level as Natures Sense, and Track at 3rd. Around 6th lvl you might want to throw in an immunity to disease to compliment Venom immunity. Lastly Fast Movement would fit in with a druid mighty fine at first level. On top of all that, I'd give some more benefit to the Animal Companion. A +2 to Natural armor, and to the Str/Dex bonus at first level would beef it up nicely. Do all of these things make up for losing spells? Maybe... but Druids have some powerful spell casting that really compliments their other abilities. Some other things you could consider would be a Natural Armor bonus at every 4th level perhaps, or include some sort of Natures Call ability, where he can "summon" certain animals or whatever would be in the local area to come to his aid. Sort of like Tarzan calling on Apes or Elephants to help him. I wouldnt give in to increasing the BAB/Armor proficiences, thats not very druidic. If anything I'd give them a good Reflex save as well over that.
