hi there, It's my fisrt post in here, i don't usually join english talking role playing forums (I'm spanish) but I'm in need of english native proofreaders... ... And Well the reason of my visit is that I recently completed a new role playing game. 2 weeks ago it was released in spanish and now I'm working to translate it into english. Why I'm here is becouse while I think that my english translating skills are "decent" im absolutelly sure that they are far from being perfect and therefore I'm in need of proofreaders. My idea is to contact english (or american) native people who is willing to read what I wrote and correct and change whatever they feel is wrong. Let me introduce the game and the project a little bit more: The game is called "Penumbra: the gothic postapocaliptic role playing game" and you can check how it looks like in here: "www.penumbra-rpg.com" and download it for free from here: http://www.penumbra-rpg.com/index.ph...uego/descargas (If you go to a paypal donation page is that you clicked in the wrong place). You probably wont understand anything, but at least you'll get an idea on how the game looks like. While the text itself is mostly mine only one of the images of the book is, the rest has been donated for photographers in exchange of the credits I`m giving them in the book (im a lot thankfull to them they are all awesome persons). A cool video was created too by Azahara, a gothic profesional dancer that wrote two poems that she then donated to the book, she recites one of them in this video, it's in spanish but you can delight with her voice and the images she extracted from the book for the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p16J5...ature=youtu.be Back to the project... Since I want to get out of the idea that a role playing game has to be something expensive I have changed completelly how to see the distribution process. My idea is that anyone is free to download the game and then after seeing it and testing it decide if it worths paying for it or not. If so im only asking for 1.99€ each copy although anyone is free to donate the amount he/she wants or feels it's a fair prize. The project also includes the idea of being the players who decide the future and the past of the game. while the core rule book describes "how things are now" very little is said about the past and even less about the future. The idea is that the players decide the future and the past of the games by playing some official modules that would include the official campaign of the game. Of course anyone is wellcome to play their own campaings on their own. In those modules players will decide if things like "misticism" (some short of magic) and "mutations" exists in the world of penumbra or not. In other words, I pretend to maintain a very interactive relation with the player base. But hey. we are talking on long terms. What I need now is people who is willing to read a .Doc plan test document and forward it to me corrected so when we have anything ready im able to do the layout and then release the game in english. As with the case of the photographers I'm willing to give you as many credits as possible: your name will be written in the official ISBN credits, in the main page and then in the thanks page at the start of the book and I'll add as many links as needed in the website to wathever pages of your own you want. Well thats the idea, hope I didnt wrote too much :P. Ill check this post from time to time for checking your answers but feel free to contact me at my email address info.penumbra@gmail.com Thanks a lot for your help in advance!.
