Hi, Thanks for any useful input in advance. The situation is I have set up a very nice background to my character(As a gm i know the more the player gives the better and easier the story flows, so I always try to give a good story to my GM) and I want to involve the other players to some extent (Elven Cleric, Tiefling warlord, goliath barbarian, elven Ranger). The story so far is my character was sold by his father as a slave end up toiling in goblin mines and planning an escape. He get caught by the tribes shaman as he was stealing weapons to arm the slaves and was then put under a ritual that dominates him. The Shaman then sends him out stealing and murdering for him until Balek(tiefling Rogue) gets help (from a tiefling wizard) and escapes. The ritual actually split Balek's soul in 2 currently in his body is his child self and his arcane imp familiar. The other half of his soul is a wizard who gained power by making a pact with the devil to gain power and free the slaves ( he is very good and willing to sacrifice himself for the rest) As the story progresses the imp will try to guide the child balek back to other half of his soul so his master can claim all of it. cumilating in a big old fight with said goblin using the magic against the party. What I was hoping is for some suggestions as to give the other players some minor role or inkling of what is happening. I have already suggested that as things get closer to the final fight, the imps nature should become more obvious shadowy wings when jumping, glowing red eyes as i kill the hated goblins, turning invisible as I sneak (all fluff no impact on the game so to speak) I don't want to get them too involved as I have seen it go horribly wrong ( In one game a character drank the potion meant to give power back to another charecter, he couldn't handle all the powers and was still only able to do one thing at a time. The bad guys won that campaign because of it) But anything other than giving one of the other player dominion over my soul would be a good idea. I only ask cause we are old fart gamers and play once every 6 weeks for 1 whole day and I know the GM has to make storylines for everyones background and doesn't have much time, that and I believe if everyone is slightly involved in story lines everyone has a better time around the table. Thanks again for any help.B-)
