Need some help with Igor

Hey I am a new DM looking for some help, I am writing up a section of undead adventure ( level 11-12ish) capped of with a Vampire boss and everything. I am throwing in a section of the Dungeon entitled The Chop Shop, in here i want to have an Igor (of the Diskworld variety for those who have read the books) as well as some fleshy constructs that he has made.
I have run into two problems:
1) what do I use as the base for my Igor, I want him to be a living creature however one that is not quite human or any other race, should i base him on the flesh golem or make my own monster (he should be a controller leader type.)

2) their is only one flesh golem in the MM and its an elite, I want a bit of variety. should I reconfigure some undead (dropping the vulnerability to radiant damage and giving them some fun abilities) or should i just start from the ground up.

thought suggestions? any help is appreciated

Igor teleports behind a creature of his choice within 10 squares.

Back-up heart (free;when reduced to 0 hit points) ✦ Healing
Igor spends two healing surges and regains 105 hit points. Igor gains a +1 bonus to all defenses until the start of its next turn.

This is probably a little over the top but might give you some ideas.

I made him a leader controller as you indicated, but it is hard to know what control and leader powers to give him without knowing the encounter he is being designed for.

It was hard to know exactly what you wanted, of course my advice would be to build your own monsters from scratch.

Anyway I hope this helps, or gives you a few ideas.

Nice I like the enervate construct and backup heart, Also for further clarification Igor is gonna be on a platform suspended over an acid pool with a few flesh golems on the grounds in front of the pool, I am also gonna work in one or two traps on the main floor. spinning saw blades, lightning machines, ceiling hooks and other fun little toys that one might find in an evil genius's lab.

Sounds good.

I think my Enervate Construct might be way over the top damage wise as I forgot to account for the creatures own attack damage. The bonus should probably be in the region of 2d8. To still keep it on the nasty side if the leaders troops are all Brutes you could bump the attack bonus to +4 to compensate for their lack of accuracy and still make the power a viable choice.
